Fief is a board game of conquest and diplomacy that is played by 3 to 6 players. Each player embodies a noble family and tries to become the most powerful of the kingdom.
The game takes place in a fictitious kingdom of the Middle Ages. There are villages connected to each other by paths and each village belongs to a fiefdom but also to a bishopric. Players will seek titles related to fiefdoms, as well as senior titles such as king, queen or even pope. The players do this by incorporating estates and bishops to conquer royal and ecclesiastical titles. In this way they give their family influence on the choice of the new pope and king. Through arranged marriages the players can forge alliances with other players in order to win the game together, but betrayal is always a threat that you have to take into account.
Get in the shoes of an ambitious nobleman who wants to expand their territory in medieval France!
